Epcot with Adults
>> Thursday, December 11, 2008
Epcot is, hands-down, my favorite park of Disney. We found Epcot refreshing after three days of screaming kids at the other Disney theme parks. We did, however, find just as many scooters with senior citizens at Epcot as kids in strollers at Magic Kingdon. After going for a day, I felt like I could easilty go back for another entire day.
Living with the Land: With a 5 minute wait, we jumped right on this ride. It took us through different simulated wather conditions and the Disney testing lab. We saw cocao, banana trees, squash, aligators and others. More of an adult ride.
Soarin': Get fast passes first thing, or you'll miss your fast pass opportunity and have to wait up to 90 minutes. This was one of my favorite rides of the day. You get a really sensation of flying over Calfornia.
Test Track: Highly anticipated but a bit of a let-down. Very thrilling for little kids but doesn't compare to Space Mountain or Rock N' Roller Coaster. If it's a 60-70 minute wait, you can skip it.
Universe of Energy: Ellen's Energy Adventure: This ride is in serious need of an update. When Ellen whips out her phone from the 90's, I felt like we really were going back to the Dinosaur age. You can miss this 45 minute ride if you don't have the time.
Reflections of China: I'd say this is a must see. You're standing for 14 minutes, but you'll come out ready to book your flight to China. See 360 degree pictures and videos of the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Hong Kong, and Beijing.
The Seas with Nemo and Friends: One of my favorite parts of the day. Although the first section is kid-oriented, the aquarium will elave you wanting to scuba dive in the tanks with the manatees, dolphins, and sharks.
